Between 06:00 and 17:00: confirmed red wind or gust forecast, a red Vida buoy reading, forecast or live waves ≥ 1.5 m, thunderstorms, or serious marine warnings.
Check conditions
Confirmed yellow-category wind or gusts, waves > 0.5 m and < 1.5 m, rain, or incomplete essential data. Outside-hours conditions are separate and do not set the day colour.
Good weather
During 06:00–17:00: both wind and gusts in the green category, waves ≤ 0.5 m, no rain, storms or relevant marine warnings.
The main colour uses 06:00–17:00. Values up to 0.5 kn above the green wind or gust limit are treated as model tolerance unless another model agrees. A clearer yellow wind peak must last two consecutive hours in one model or be supported by another model. Forecast red needs two models, a 25% severe exceedance lasting at least two hours, or one extreme 50% exceedance; a lone marginal red model stays yellow. Live observations, thunderstorms, high waves and serious official warnings remain immediate. Outside-hours risk stays a separate reminder. Heat warnings remain visible but do not colour the boat forecast. Green is a forecast, not a guarantee of safe conditions at sea.
